Aritzia’s 4 year win at Ontario Chapter Championship Show

At the Ontario Chapter Championship Show on September 22nd, 2012, held at the Royal Canadian Riding Academy in Newmarket, Aritzia claimed the Grand Champion title for the 4th year in a row.

Aritzia is by the European Stallion Abke, out of the States Premium Hanoverian mare Licorne. Unfortunately, Licorne passed away in March 2012, the day after giving birth to All She Wrote, Aritzia’s full sister.

Licorne and Abke have been a staple in Four Leaf Farms’ breeding program. Licorne’s first Canadian born filly (2006), Rumtanzen, by the European Stallion Rotspon, is also producing quality foals and blessed us with Ask Me Anything by Abke in March 2012. Ask Me Anything was Junior Champion Filly at the Ontario Chapter Championship Show.

In the Progeny of Dam (Licorne) and Get of Sire (Abke) class, Aritzia, Rumtanzen and Ask Me Anything were presented and were awarded first in both classes. The judge was impressed by the quality of this breeding line, commenting on their topline, conformation, movement and how this family of horses is a perfect example of the start of a great breeding program.

Special thanks goes to Ronnie Davidson and Maura Watson for handling our horses for these 4 wonderful years!
